07.04.2022

One of the first questions was about money transfers from abroad in the current conditions.

Valentin Sergeyevich noted that the 4th year students, like the rest, will be granted a deferral of tuition fees until May 25.

As for transfers from abroad, the procedure for transferring money from Egypt using full details to a current currency account opened in the regional branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor is currently being tested. There are also options for urgent international transfers via the "Unistream" and "Contact" systems. Rosselkhoznadzor specialists are ready to help foreign students in each individual case with money transfers from abroad.

It was also said that, like Russian students, foreigners can get a student pass card and use it as a bank account. Such campus cards, as well as debit cards "Mir" can be issued with a passport, visa and migration card.

The students asked if a discount is possible for undergraduates who have completed a bachelor's degree at our university?

"The rules of training are not regulated by us. We provide opportunities for free access to additional educational programs, consider the possibility of paying tuition in installments and many other privileges. Legally, foreign students cannot apply for budget places in the magistracy, but we will contact the Ministry and try to change something," said Valentin Sergeevich.

Commenting on the topic of employment of foreign students, the acting rector reminded that all students of the agrarian University, without exception, have the opportunity to find a job in their specialty, for this purpose the university has a well-established system of cooperation with employers.

"The university has an employment and employment department. Come and leave your details. Any initiative of yours is welcome. In this regard, it does not matter whether you are a foreigner or not."

The head of the university also called for more actively involving foreign students in numerous events held by the university and encouraging them, including financially.

"We will pay special attention to full-time students. As you know, we have a lot of activities, but the project is different for the project. If it is really relevant, we will help with financing," he said.

At the request of foreign students, the acting rector also promised to organize additional free courses in the Russian language.

Answering the question that, for example, in Egypt, Stavropol State University is not included in the ranking of universities recognized in this country, Valentin Sergeyevich noted that this topic has already been discussed with the Department of International Relations.

"Today we hold leading positions in four world rankings. We have contacted your consul, and he will pay a visit to our university in the near future. We also contacted the Syrian Embassy on the same initiative," the acting rector concluded.

At the meeting, they were also interested in living, everyday life, leisure, sports. The acting rector paid the closest attention to each question.
