On the eve of May 9 - the Great Victory Day, Stavropol State Agrarian University held a round table on "About the war I was not in...".
Department of Philosophy and History headed by the head of the department, doctor of historical sciences, professor Evgeniy Vasilievich Tufanov together with the students of economic faculty and secondary vocational education participated in the discussion of the key political reasons that connected foreign policy events between I and II World Wars, the main stages of the Great Patriotic War, the capture of Voroshilovsk (Stavropol), partisan movement in the Stavropol Region and the Caucasus, the role of women who were in the rear and on the front line and brought the Den
Students of the 1st and 2nd courses of the Faculty of Economics took an active part in organizing and conducting the event. Among them: Nikita Grishchenko, Angelina Tokareva, Elizaveta Zhuk, Sophia Kalashnikova, Emilia Imirkhanova (supervisors of the Department of Philosophy and History: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ivan Ivanovich Gulyak, candidates of historical sciences, associate professors Inna Nikolaevna Karpenko and Olga Nikolaevna Shmatko).
In the framework of the round table were shown archive chronicles "The Causes of the Second World War" and "The seizure and occupation of Stavropol-Voroshilovsk", as well as musical accompaniment of vocal studio "Vois" performed by students of the Faculty of Economics.
In the closing part of the event, Associate Professor of Philosophy and History Department Vladimir Ismailovich Kurchev, who represents the generation of "Children of War" said to never forget the memorable events of our history. The round table ended with a moment of silence.
