The topic of corruption in Russia is currently very relevant. After all, the problem of corruption has recently become widespread, affecting all spheres of human life. Corruption has become a systemic problem. A master class on financial security was held for students of the accounting and finance faculty on the topic “Corruption, bribery, trading in influence. Causes of a Conflict of Interest”, organized by the teachers of the department “Finance, Credit and Insurance Business” together with the company “KEG SERVICE”.
The speaker of the event was Pavel Evgenyevich Shipov, General Director of KEG SERVICE LLC.
During the event, students learned that combating corruption remains one of the most important problems of modern society. Corruption exists in any society. The population of different countries perceives the existing level of corruption differently, but in general, corruption itself as a phenomenon is condemned in any culture. This is confirmed by the widespread adoption of anti-corruption legislation. Arguments that corruption is invincible because it is “a way of life” or “part of the culture” must be critically assessed.
The master class led by Pavel Evgenyevich Shipov, General Director of KEG SERVICE LLC, allowed its participants not only to identify the problems of combating corruption and methods of preventing it, to form beliefs about the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses, but also to increase legal consciousness, legal culture, and citizenship.
During the meeting, they also discussed the existing system of training and retraining of personnel, including the mission of the Agrarian University. Pavel Evgenievich told how the work on self-development was set up in their company. This includes training in Russian and foreign companies, mentorship, participation in industry competitions at the regional and all-Russian levels.
The representative of the company highly appreciated the quality of training of students and graduates of SSAU and proposed to expand and systematize the work to attract students to practice, and graduates to work in the structural divisions of the company.
The interactive lesson aroused keen interest among students, and new promising opportunities for cooperation were outlined.
