The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and Rosfinmonitoring are holding the second International Financial Security Olympiad for schoolchildren in grades 8-10, as well as students who study under bachelor's, specialist's and master's programs.
The results of the first university (qualifying) stage of the Olympiad were summed up, which for our region took place in an online format on the basis of the Rostov State Economic University (RINH).
The winner of the first stage among students in educational institutions of higher education from SSAU was the 3rd year student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the specialty "Economic Security" Diana Petrosyan (supervisor Doctor of Economics, Professor Agarkova Lyubov Vasilievna).
In 2021, the International Financial Security Olympiad was held for the first time. 122 students and schoolchildren from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the BRICS countries became winners and prize-winners. According to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, participation in the Olympiad has increased the level of general information, financial and legal literacy of adolescents, boys and girls. As a result, it was decided to hold the Olympiad annually.
The second (final) stage of the Olympiad is scheduled from October 10 to October 14, 2022 on the territory of the Sirius Educational Center (Sochi). The program of the final stage includes educational, cultural and sports events: meetings with invited experts, workshops, master classes, meetings with employers, panel discussions, excursions, participation in a job fair and sports competitions. Schoolchildren and students will also be able to take part in project work. The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad will be able to receive special rights for admission to study at MSI universities and the opportunity to have an internship at Rosfinmonitoring and other organizations.
