In the international university rankings in 2022, the National Autonomous University of Mexico ranked 105th. Over the past years, it has been recognized as the second best university in Latin America. UNAM offers a large number of undergraduate and graduate programs and has 48 research centers and institutes that conduct research in a wide range of specialties.

The concluded agreement will enable universities to make contacts in the field of science, education and cultural exchange. In the future, it is planned to develop student exchange programs and implement the "double diploma" program. This agreement opens up opportunities for the implementation of research projects in such related areas for universities as sustainable development of rural areas, veterinary medicine and technological design. In the cultural aspect, the agreement is the basis for the exchange of knowledge in the field of history and art, the dissemination of scientific and sporting achievements, traditions, languages and other cultural features characteristic of our countries.

“SSAU is always open for cooperation with foreign partners. We want to give our students not only a good education and relevant competencies, but also give them the opportunity for brilliant career prospects. I am sure that scientific, educational and cultural cooperation with the largest university in Latin America and Mexico will be useful and interesting for students and teachers of both universities,” commented the Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Valentin Skripkin, commenting on an important event for SSAU.
