Patriotic event for students of two faculties

30.09.2022

An educational event was held for students of accounting and Finance and Engineering and Technology faculties of SSAU, which considered patriotism as a complex and multifaceted phenomenon and the value of public life in Russia.

The organizer of the dialogue with the students was Tamara Vasilyevna Skrebtsova, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management and Banking. The report was made by Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and History, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of SSAU Nikolai Gavrilovich Guzynin.

In his speech, he revealed various interpretations of the concept of "patriotism", around which an acute ideological struggle is being waged. In connection with the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War in 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in response to fruitless attempts to formulate a national idea, said that the most adequate understanding of it comes down to patriotism.

Nikolai Gavrilovich profoundly showed a diverse understanding of patriotism in the historical context and especially in relation to Russia. He examined various varieties of patriotism, among which special emphasis is placed on the characteristic of state patriotism, which is not reduced to its essential interpretation in the form of love for the Motherland.

The students listened attentively and with interest to N.G. Guzynin's speech and they were asked difficult questions and received exhaustive answers.
