Stavropol State Agrarian University won the grant competition of the Ministry of Education of Russia for the promotion of the Russian language. 147 applications were submitted, of which only 67 organizations became winners. And for the first time, our university won. The goal of the program is to popularize the Russian language by involving foreign students in various types of communicative activities in order to acquire or consolidate existing knowledge of Russian as a foreign language while implementing various educational approaches to teaching, socializing foreign students in a foreign language environment and developing the cognitive function of the Russian language.
Stavropol State Agrarian University is launching two Russian language programs at once: “Property of the North Caucasus: The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania” and “Agrarian World: Veterinarian Saves Humanity”.
The programs are an unusual method of popularizing the Russian language in Russia and abroad. The possibilities of the program create the necessary foundation for the involvement of students of the Russian language of different ages, nationalities and levels of knowledge. The program will develop the students' cognitive activity in the study of Russian literature, interest in the history and peculiarities of the Russian language.
According to the results of the course “Agrarian World: Veterinary Doctor Saves Humanity” the students will know: professional lexical minimum corresponding to the topic of the course; basic lexical professionally oriented information; rules for constructing monologue and dialogic speech in a professional context.
According to the results of the course “Property of the North Caucasus: The Republic of North Ossetia-Alania”, students should master the basic information about the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and its capital, the city of Vladikavkaz and natural and religious attractions, population, traditions and customs. Be able to use constructions in the genitive case in speech.
General education programs are designed for foreign students who speak Russian as a foreign language in accordance with the 1st certification level and continue to study the Russian language, Russian culture and traditions of both a particular region and Russia as a whole.
