22.10.2022

Graduates of the 9th grade can now become highly qualified specialists directly at the future employer's workplace

On October 22, 2022 a regional parents' meeting was held at the Stavropol State Agrarian University within the framework of the Unified Open Doors Day of the federal project "Professionality". More than 600 parents, who had chosen the applied model of education for their children in agricultural specialties, gathered within the walls of the university. Almost 300 more Stavropol citizens took part online.

The Educational and Production Center of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory implies a tandem of teachers and specialists of agricultural enterprises of Stavropol. In addition to StSAU, acting as coordinator of the project, 7 agricultural professional educational organizations of the region were included.

Modern training and production equipment, the latest laboratories and software were purchased from the grant won by the Stavropol State Agricultural University within the framework of the federal project "Professionalism" and the funds allocated by partner companies, amounting to more than 120 million rubles.

Now training is conducted in 4 specialties: agronomy, veterinary medicine, zootechnics, operation and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment.

The first 700 students of the center, who have chosen this form of SPE, started their studies on September 1, 2022.

In Stavropol Krai, a regional supervisory board was formed to coordinate the cluster's activities, chaired by Stavropol Krai Governor Vladimir Vladimirov. Training algorithms will be adjusted promptly in accordance with the changes in personnel trends in the region's agro-industrial complex.

- We offer an intensified educational model with an emphasis on practice. For three years, together with employers, we form high quality professionals with a job guarantee of 85%. The final certification with us is a demonstration exam in the format of a full working day. Attention will be paid not only to production processes, but also to safety, hygiene and other professional subtleties. It is already clear that the future lies in this format of training. Certainly, we will extrapolate this experience to other professions, - said Oksana Gavrilova, dean of secondary vocational education faculty, candidate of philology, associate professor.

Agrarians, in turn, support this diversification of the educational process and are confident in the effectiveness of the new approach.

- Agricultural enterprises of Stavropol Territory are the main interest of this whole story. We have an opportunity to train specialists specifically for our goals. This is the most honest and transparent format of employer-employee relations - everyone has time to get acquainted with each other," Evgeniya Kirichenko, deputy director for recruitment at LLC "Agrico", a South Russian agricultural enterprise, pointed out the relevance of "Professionalism" programs.
