SSAU students will assemble a prototype of the legendary "Kirovets"

25.10.2022

A unique training stand, representing the running gear of a tractor in a section, will allow students of the Agrarian University to hone their practical skills in repairing this agricultural machinery right in the laboratory of the university. With the support of Stavropolagropromsnab LLC, the Stavropol State Agrarian University opened the only training and research laboratory of the Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC in the North Caucasus Federal District.

In the Stavropol State Agrarian University, 382 people study at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Now they have a unique opportunity to work in a laboratory with an area of more than 80 square meters.

The Kirov Plant was and remains the only national manufacturer of powerful energy-saturated wheeled agricultural tractors. It is with these machines that mechanics will have to work in production.

Honored guests were present at the opening of the laboratory:

Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov - Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University;

Boris Vladimirovich Filin - Deputy General Director for Sales of JSC Petersburg Tractor Plant;

Svetlana Dmitrievna Traspova - General Director of Stavropol'agropromsnab LLC;

Evgeny Dmitrievich Trukhachev - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.

A feature of the new educational space is the presence of a training stand, which shows a section of the tractor bridge, which will allow students to see the operation of the running system, understand its structure and repair the unit with their own hands - up to the overhaul. University partners provided a complete set of educational space.

“The Kirov Plant was and remains the only national manufacturer of powerful energy-saturated wheeled agricultural tractors. It is with this machinery that graduates of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology will work in their professional life. Previously, our training was based on theory, but now in our laboratory, students get the opportunity to assemble the undercarriage of the Kirovets in its natural form”, - notes Vladimir Sitnikov, Acting Rector of SSAU.
