STGAU participates in the work of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Territory on designing the boundaries of protected zones of natural monuments

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory held a regular working meeting on the creation, establishment of boundaries and regimes of protected zones of natural monuments. The meeting was attended by representatives of the regional ministries, the prosecutor's office of the Stavropol Territory, administrations of cities and districts of the Caucasus Mineralnye Vody region, higher educational and research institutions, public environmental organizations.

The meeting was held by the First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory, Igor Gennadyevich Trautvain. Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented by Professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction Andrey Anatolyevich Korovin.

In accordance with the Federal Law "On Specially Protected Natural Territories", in order to prevent adverse anthropogenic impacts on state nature reserves, national parks, nature parks and natural monuments, protected zones are established on adjacent land plots and water bodies, where a regime is established in accordance with which prohibit activities that have a negative (harmful) impact on natural complexes.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory, within the framework of the state contract for the implementation of work to establish the boundaries of specially protected natural areas and their buffer zones located on the territory of the Stavropol Territory, is working to create protected zones of natural monuments of regional significance.

In accordance with the terms of reference, work was carried out to establish the boundaries and regimes of protected zones of natural monuments of regional significance located within the boundaries of the resort cities of Pyatigorsk, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, the city of Lermontov, as well as Izobilnensky, Grachevsky and Novoaleksandrovsky districts of the Stavropol Territory.

As a result of the discussion, comments were made on the need to adjust the boundaries of individual natural monuments.

In general, the work is carried out in accordance with the terms of reference with the active participation of local governments and will contribute not only to the protection of natural monuments, but also to the further development of territories and ecological tourism.
