The Department of Information Systems hosted the traditional "Olympics in Information Technology". Students of the 1st year of training courses "Business Informatics" and "Information Systems and Technologies" took part.
The traditional annual information marathon for first-year students was held under the guidance of the head of the Department of Information Systems, Associate Professor Alexei Khabarov, Professor Alexander Shuvaev, Associate Professor Anna Ermakova and Associate Professor Svetlana Bogdanova.
The main focus of the Olympiad was to determine the initial level of information training of participants, the first step in the formation of key digital competencies for the upcoming professional activity and the development of digital thinking among young people. The Olympiad tasks made it possible to determine the initial level of training of students, identify gaps in knowledge, correct the depth of study of information disciplines, and competently outline educational trajectories.
Of the 67 participants in the Olympiad, 9 students received diplomas of winners. Among the direction "Information systems and technologies" the highest results were shown by Lukyanenko Roman and Gibert Mikhail. Among the direction "Business Informatics" Zvereva Svetlana became the absolute winner.
“We are all increasingly engulfed in the digital space. Digital technologies, like a coin, have two sides: someone in the profession must use them effectively, and someone must first develop them and then improve them. The vocation of the participants of the event is to learn how to develop the digital world,” – Aleksey Khabarov, Head of the Department of Information Systems, Associate Professor.
