The Governor of Stavropol territory visited Stavropol Agrarian University

The Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University Vladimir Sitnikov showed Vladimir Vladimirovich the new laboratories of the university, which were opened literally at the end of last year. He spoke about the implementation of strategic projects of the university within the framework of the federal program "Priority 2030". Vladimir Vladimirovich and Vladimir Nikolaevich discussed the immediate plans for modernization, with which the region will help the university.

― The participation of Stavropol State Agrarian University in the presidential program "Priority 2030" helps to modernize and expand the scientific and educational potential of the university. New laboratories, educational and research centers allow us to apply a practice-oriented approach. It is important that close cooperation has been established with companies where graduates will be able to work in the future. All this helps the university to increase its contribution to solving the key tasks facing the regional agro—industrial complex ― to create a scientific basis for increasing yields, import substitution, and increasing the competitiveness of our agricultural products, - said the governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov after inspecting the site of the future educational and laboratory building, on the basis of which it is planned to implement the federal project "Priority 2030". creation of a competence center in agriculture and crop production.

Vladimir Vladimirovich also inspected the new laboratories of the university and got acquainted with the progress of the implementation of strategic projects in the SSAU within the framework of the program. Thanks to participation in the "Priority 2030" program, in 2022, training laboratories for students' project activities, classes with simulators for practicing practical skills in agricultural machinery, technologies allowing the use of quadrocopters for monitoring fields and calculating the optimal amount of fertilizers, modern workplaces for training and retraining of welders were created at SSAU. The future center for unmanned technologies will include eight laboratories: agrochemical analysis, soil microbiology, laboratories for seed quality and analysis of biometric indicators, organic farming, phytosanitary monitoring and diagnostics, a control and toxicological laboratory, a laboratory for product quality assessment. The laboratories are designed to conduct fundamental and applied research in the field of soil fertility, microbiological, agrochemical and phytosanitary monitoring, control over the condition and assessment of the quality and safety of agricultural products.

The Governor appreciated the new innovative welding laboratory on the basis of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The workshop is equipped with 4 posts, each equipped with welding equipment for semi-automatic welding, for manual and argon arc welding on alternating and direct current. Students can get an applied profession, which is in urgent need of almost all sectors of the economy. In the future, the university plans to issue a welder's certificate, which is another additional competence for a young specialist.
