- In the perception of the Great Patriotic War, we often focus on victorious joy, forgetting that the hardest sacrificial path of 1418 days, laid through suffering and deprivation, led to the pronunciation of the very word "Victory". Therefore, the participants in those events, if they shared their memories of the war, then very sparingly. Fighting and defeating the enemy, they thought about peace and bequeathed to reach new heights in the creation of their native Fatherland in peaceful conditions. And the resulting special military operation is ultimately aimed precisely at establishing peace on the western borders of Russia, - said the organizer of the event, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of SSAU Nikolai Guzynin.
