The 3rd youth festival for ecology and sustainable development "VUZEcoFest - 2017" will be held on April 17–30

The festival will bring together students and professors from 50 largest Russian universities based in 13 cities: Moscow, Saint Peterburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Chelyabinsk, Belgorod, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Orel, Volgograd, Syktyvkar and Stavropol.

The aim of the festival is to involve universities into ecologic activities, to develop ecologic lifestyle and increase ecologic responsibility. For the last three years Russian universities have become in demand for holding ecologic projects.

The festival is coordinated by the Center of bioeconomy and eco innovations of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Department of environmental management and protection of Moscow, State ecological budgetary entity "Mospriroda" and Fund named after Friedrich Ebert.

This year Stavropol SAU will join the participants and will represent our city in "VUZEcoFest 2017" community. The festival's regional coordinator is Olga Cherednichenko, docent of the Faculty of Economics, event planners are 3rd year students of the Faculty of Economics, 1st-year students of the Faculty of ecology and Landscape Architecture and Yulia Rybasova, Svetlana Okrut and Natalia Dovgotko.

The "Green" week will include a number of activities aimed at ecologic culture and awareness development. Among them are campaign for waste paper collection, poster contest, ecologic workshop, round table conference, quest with University and high school students from Stavropol educational establishments.

We inform that waste paper collection will be held on April 27th. All means earned will be spent for buying fodder for "Best friend" animal shelter.
