Actual problems of ecology and nature management must be solved jointly
On the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University was held the V International Scientific and Practical Conference, timed to the Year of Ecology in Russia.
The geography of the participants of the conference "Actual Issues of Ecology and Nature Management", initiated and organized by the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, was not limited to environmental experts of Stavropol. Scientists from Moscow, Michurinsk, Tambov, Novosibirsk, Ulan-Ude, Yaroslavl, Omsk and Germany took part in it.
Opening the plenary session on October 12, Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko noted that the Presidential Decree of 2017 declared the Year of Ecology, and the main goal of this decision is to draw attention to the problematic issues existing in the environmental sphere, so that improve the state of environmental security of the country. He also pointed to the importance of training personnel in the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and environmental safety of the Stavropol Territory. The participants in the conference were greeted by Galina Sekatskaya, Acting Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage in the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), who noted the importance of cooperation between production, the state and science in the field of environmental protection.
The course of the plenary session was continued by Professor Martin Dietrich, Professor of the Hohenheim University (Germany), who presented the results of many years of biodiversity research in the fields of Central Europe. Continued this topic, but taking into account the Russian realities, the state inspector of the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage in the North Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Izolda Olegovna Lysenko. She reported on the problems and prospects of control and surveillance activities in the field of use and conservation of biodiversity.
Alexander Vladimirovich Ryabikin, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Territory, spoke about the current problems of the ecological condition of the Stavropol Territory, as well as about the environmental measures that have been taken and planned in the region. Head of the Stavropol Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Nelly Kravchenko presented the results of many years of research aimed at assessing the influence of climatic conditions on the ecology of the Caucasian Mineral Waters region. Svetlana Vasilievna Okrut, associate professor of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, reported on priority environmental problems of water bodies in rural areas.
During the plenary session of the conference it was noted that there are no separate problems in ensuring the environmental safety of the country, it is necessary to solve the existing problems together. The further work of the conference continued with breakout sessions.
