Freshman of SSAU achieved All-Russian victory
Champion of the Stavropol Territory Magomed Bagavdinov, a student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, won the All-Russian Freestyle Wrestling Tournament, dedicated to the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union by S.G. Litavrin.
On the 12-14th of May, Lipetsk hosted the traditional All-Russian freestyle wrestling tournament in memory of Hero of the Soviet Union by S.G. Litavrin, which was attended by more than 15 teams from different regions of the country - over 150 wrestlers. To participate in this tournament, athletes are allowed not less than candidates for master of sports.
First-year student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Magomed Bagavdinov, after five fights and completing them ahead of schedule, took the 1st place in the weight category of 70 kg and thus fulfilled the standard for the title of the master of sports of Russia. Earlier, a month before the All-Russian competition, Magomed won the Championship of the Stavropol Territory, which was held in Stavropol on the 8-9th of April. Coaching activity for the preparation for the tournament was carried out by the senior teacher of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Stavropol State Agrarian University Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kutsenko.
