100 SSAU students worked in the same team with the Ministry of Emergency Situations
Early in the morning on June 1, group of the Stavropol SAU left for the village of Levokumka, Mineralovodsky district, to eliminate the consequences of the flood.
Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, called on the staff of the university and students to provide all possible assistance to local residents.
The task was to clear the center, the streets of the village, and the surrounding areas. The main task was to assist the population in cleaning their houses and farmhouses from silt left after the flood.
The group of students was divided into five teams, each of which was worked with different equipment. As a result, SSAU students cleared 11 village streets and two residential districts in Zarechniy and Sadovye dacha cooperatives, where more than 700 families live.
