On the Day of the Belarusians and the Russians solidarity
In the first days of April, members of the volunteer team "Zabota" of Agrobiology and Land Resources Faculty and Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture went to the streets of Stavropol.
The students told the guests and residents of the regional center about the Day of Belarus and Russia Unity and its history. And the Stavropol people addressed the fraternal people and sincerely wished them peace, good and prosperity.
The holiday is celebrated on April 2, 1996. It was on this day the President of Russia Boris Yeltsin and the the President of Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed in Moscow the Treaty on the Formation of the Community of Russia and Belarus. Exactly one year later, on April 2, 1997, the Treaty "On the Union of Belarus and Russia" was signed, which gave a new impetus to the process of comprehensive integration of the two states.
Similar action was held in five cities of the Mogilev region of the Republic of Belarus, whose inhabitants in turn addressed to the residents of the city of Stavropol with wish of prosperity and peaceful sky over the heads!
