To reduce the huge number and severity of the consequences of accidents, draw public attention to the problems of road accidents, the All-Russian Road Safety Week, supported by the Stavropol State Agrarian University, is taking place from September 25 to September 29.
Employees of the University and 1 st year students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the direction "Economic Security" became participants in an open preventive conversation with the inspector of the MSISRM, police lieutenant Zhanna Bordyug. The main goal of the meeting was to increase the level of youth education in the field of traffic and to reduce the lethal and invalid outcomes in road accidents.
During the conversation, the lieutenant of the police Zh. V. Bordyug explained to the audience about the importance of observing the speed regime, which is absolutely vital for every road user: driver, passenger, pedestrian. According to the statistics, it is the excess of the speed regime that becomes one of the main causes of traffic accidents and is the most common traffic law violation, the responsibility for which is provided for by Chapter 12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The inspector reminded the guys of the basic rules for the driver and the passenger: never get behind the wheel in a state of alcohol and drug intoxication; comply with the speed limit; always fasten the seat belt; in a situation where a pedestrian deliberately violates the rules of the road, does not fall into an aggressive state and does not try to harm his health. At the end of the meeting the police lieutenant Zh. V. Bordyug recommended the children to strictly observe the Rules of the Road and use light-reflecting elements on clothing and personal belongings.
For a deeper awareness of the importance of safe behavior on the road, students and teachers watched documentaries "Memo for pedestrians" and "Crash course".
